About Ernst Stolz
Ernst Stolz is a very versatile performer of the viola da gamba and keyboards. He is an active studio teacher. Ernst Stolz studied at the Royal Conservatory in the Netherlands with Michael Barker on recorder, Bob van Asperen on harpsichord, Stanley Hoogland on fortepiano. Additionaly, he studied piano with Sumiko Nagaoka at the Conservatory of Utrecht and choir with Louis Buskens in Rotterdam. Other teachers include: Bernard Kruijs, Marjanne Block, Jaques Ogg, Max van Egmond, Erik van Nevel, Rebecca Stewart, et al. Amongst Ernst Stolz’s teachers on viol is Freek Bosrtlap, and his instrument was built by luthier Marco Ternovec.
